David Beckham to become Elle UK's first solo male cover star

So David Beckham is entering the women's magazine world, as a cover star. Yep, Elle UK have confirmed the football player/model/designer will be the title's first male to grace its cover solo. Part of me thinks it's a really cool idea, as Elle UK has previously put male stars on the cover along with a female – such as actors Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor – but the cynic on my shoulder thinks why break the mould?

What are your thoughts? Do you think he should be venturing into his wife's territory, or stick to what he does best, on his own turf?

Victoria Beckham gets I-D'd

Last month it was Japanese magazine Numero, this month it's I-D. Is Ms Beckham on a cover roll? Let's hope so. As I highlighted in the Numero post, it's rare that Victoria does interviews, so when she does I find it makes for more intriguing reading.

In terms of makeup and styling, I like that it was totally different to the Numero cover, which I highly doubt was an accident. It didn't surprise me that the smokey eye made an appearance, however. On the other hand, the strong brow did make for a pleasant surprise, and I think it worked well alongside her strong features. But I loved the hair more. And she's smiling!

Here's a couple of shots from inside the cover. Again, love the hair and makeup, she looks beautiful. Still can't believe she gave birth not that long ago.
