Alesha Dixon may look all sweetness and nice (and totally gorgeous) in this picture, but the real reason behind her signing with Avon lies much deeper than it may look. As well as launching the beauty giant’s latest foundation, Ideal Flawless, the Strictly Come Dancing judge has joined Avon as its beauty and empowerment ambassador for the UK and Ireland, acting as a spokesperson for its make-up category and domestic violence cause.
Amazingly, Avon has donated more than £500,000 to its domestic violence charity partners Refuge, Women’s Aid and UN Women to help end violence against women, and Alesha will look to help increase that figure next year by promoting the brand's Empowerment product.
No doubt Miss Dixon will be proud and flattered to be chosen to front Avon's latest campaign, what with the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas also representing the brand.
In terms of Avon make-up, I'm fairly a novice, but I've just recently made my first selection (spree) from their Christmas book! Let's see if any of my chosen products make it into Lost in Beauty's Product of the Week! Watch this space...
For dedicated Avon fans, the Ideal Flawless range will be available from February next year.
